The XM-1 is Noble Audio's first implementation of the new xMEMS driver technology. Traditionally xMEMS driver tech requires a specialized high-bias amplifier to use. Rather than needing separate equipment, Noble has offered a solution by integrating the amplifier into the IEM itself and utilizing an active USB-C cable with a 4 pin termination to supply power to both the IEM as well as the amplifier. The result is an IEM that can be driven with a phone, allowing any user to enjoy the incredible new tech that is the xMEMS driver.
